Track 30: The Evil Dope

• SPEAKER_00: This Bill Phillips, king of the world.
  
• SPEAKER_00: You see, you are the future leaders of this great country,
  
• SPEAKER_00: but you must never, never fool around with the evil dope,
  
• SPEAKER_00: steer away from marijuana, and steer away from the evil needle.
  
• SPEAKER_00: The name of this story, little boy and little girl today is the evil dope.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Josh was his name.
  
• SPEAKER_00: He had been working all of his life.
  
• SPEAKER_00: He had earned $2,000, $2,000.
  
• SPEAKER_00: And boy, his dear mother and dear friend was giving him a blessing.
  
• SPEAKER_00: party. And boy, after the birthday party, he's taking his girlfriend home. And on his way back,
  
• SPEAKER_00: he stopped by Ragnos Sam place. And there he met old Gap Mouth Joe. And Gap Mow Joe said,
  
• SPEAKER_00: Josh, say, we've been waiting for you, man. Got a great big old juicy birthday party for you.
  
• SPEAKER_00: So he said, come on, they went next door. And when they opened the door, smoke, smoke. Everywhere was smoke.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Everybody was smoking marijuana, marijuana cigarette. And he said, come on, Josh, have a cigarette.
  
• SPEAKER_00: No, Josh said, no, I don't think I want a cigarette. I understand.
  
• SPEAKER_00: things are bad. Oh, come on, man, you can kick the habit. So Josh began to puff, puff down on a cigarette.
  
• SPEAKER_00: And finally he said, whew, I feel good. So he went on back, went back home that night. But the next day,
  
• SPEAKER_00: he's right back down to Gap Mow Joe's house. But Gap Mock Joe said, I have something better for you this time.
  
• SPEAKER_00: And he put that needle in his arm and shot that medicine in him. And he said, whew, I feel good.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Went on back home and his muddy, mad and met him at the door and said, Josh, said, I understand, you fool around with old Gap Moth Joe.
  
• SPEAKER_00: So, Mother, you don't know what you're talking about.
  
• SPEAKER_00: But that night, late that night, he was in the bed along.
  
• SPEAKER_00: He was real cold and sick.
  
• SPEAKER_00: And he said, ooh, I'm so cold. I feel so bad.
  
• SPEAKER_00: So sick, so bad.
  
• SPEAKER_00: His mother heard him, ran upstairs.
  
• SPEAKER_00: When she said to him, she said, Josh, he hadn't been fooling around with that dope, have you, boy?
  
• SPEAKER_00: He saw her mother let me alone.
  
• SPEAKER_00: They took off.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Went on back down the old Gapmoth Joe.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Back and forth, back and forth, and finally he was broke.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Didn't have any more money.
  
• SPEAKER_00: So he said to himself, I got to get me some money.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I got to have me some money.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I'm broke.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Got to get me.
  
• SPEAKER_00: get that duke. He saw an old lady walking along one lonely dark night, picked up a stick,
  
• SPEAKER_00: sneaked up behind her, hit across the head. But doom, bip bop, bip bop, went to kick in and
  
• SPEAKER_00: stopping her. And finally the old lady was dead, stone dead. So he ran on back the gap mouth
  
• SPEAKER_00: Joe's house, fell on the couch again with that medicine in his own. Woo! I feel good. But a few days
  
• SPEAKER_00: later, he was in the cell, in the jail cell. And there he was all along, and he began to think to himself.
  
• SPEAKER_00: And he said, I should have listened to my mama.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I should have listened to my mama.
  
• SPEAKER_00: All of my money is gone.
  
• SPEAKER_00: All of my $2,000 would I wake so hard for.
  
• SPEAKER_00: All of it is gone.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I want my mama.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Somebody, please help me.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Mama.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Mama, please help me.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I feel so cold.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I'm so sick.
  
• SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I'm going to do.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Look like I'm going to die.
  
• SPEAKER_00: And finally he fell to the floor.
  
• SPEAKER_00: He was dead.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Gone dead.
  
• SPEAKER_00: So you see, the evil dope made him turn his back on his dear mother.
  
• SPEAKER_00: His dear girlfriend made a lie out of him, made a thief out of him, stopped them from going to college,
  
• SPEAKER_00: lost his $2,000, made a murder out of him, and finally killed him, stone dead.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Stay away from marijuana and steal away from the evil needle.
  
• SPEAKER_00: Stayed away from the evil dope.
